She is only decent on the piano and has a good (not great) voice. She has taken even this and sold it all down river. Selling out morals and musical taste is going to make her a ton of money, but she earns very little respect with me.

Okay, she was really young here. I’m not sure how long ago it was, but considering she’s wearing a dress and doing a love song I’d say she’s got to be like, 17 here. Obviously she is going to change as an artist and she still performs amazing piano pieces so it’s incredibly unfair to say she’s a sell out.

Wow, she sure made an unexpected turn around. What wonderful music she would have produced if she would have pursued her career like this.

I didn’t mean Lady Gaga the person; I meant Lady Gaga the musical act.

Your last fragment, “Lady Gaga, meanwhile, is truly unique.” she’s the exact same person.. just with a stage name. it’s the same thing as you being, whatever your name is.. and then putting VictimOfBoredom as your screen name.

    Well said.

She realized this would take her nowhere.

    Piano singer-songwriters are a dime a dozen.

Lady Gaga, meanwhile, is truly unique.

Jeez. What happened to her? She’s amazing here.

This is true. I mean, really… Ballads are boring. She has an amazing voice, but musically, it’s nothing new. Funny that people below have said her current music is just “pop crap.” This video here is also “pop crap” if you think about it. Pop crap that people want to listen to and allow you to afford rent… or pop crap that people will fall asleep to with a career in the coffeehouse circuit?

It doesn’t take any less talent than this. It’s just less introspective and more impersonal. “Lady Gaga” is, after all, an act, like Slim Shady or Marilyn Manson.

If she had stuck to this genre, none of us would be here discussing her.

She didn’t sell out. LOL. She writes, sings, mixes, plays instruments for her music she does now. It’s not just her and the piano but it takes more talent to actually sing, to mix, to write, and all of that, then sitting at the piano and singing, which many can do. She still sings live, and she still does amazing piano and voice work in acoustics, you can see MANY amazing voice+piano alone on youtube if you look. She didn’t sell out, she capitalized and she loves Pop Music too

yeah this is good, but her gaga crap is just that “pop crap”…so sad.

too bad the “pop” industry got to her, another ruined musician….so sad.

@robertlouisburns – hmm, no, considering i’m a young woman, and i don’t “attack” people without reason.
