i have used that word hundreds of times but never to insult a person just to explain a feeling of a deranged situation. I can totally see how it would offend someone but i think that it has more than one meaning . Hope this doesnt offend anybody though.

First of all, retard is not a bad word. Actually it was this twisted generation that formulated it into bad context. Retard means slow, thats all. as a musician , I use it all the time as a musical term, retard or retardando. i find this highly irritating. im sorry. just dnt get offended by this word.
