Cheers! I’m a student just working in sainsburys for my gap year atm, and believe me A LOT is going in that book about them haha!
Still…better not talk too much or they’ll sack me for gross misconduct

I agree with the others about your grammar and punctuation! Anyway, i don’t consider myself a writer, but what i’ve been doing for a while now, is to just write things down in a book. It could be literally anything. A humourous observation, a scenario, a one liner, an oxymoron, an abstract dream. There are things you can put in a book and just keep there, so whenever you feel you want to do something, you have masses of ideas ready to be used.

    just a thought

Why Do You Write With Capitals In This Strange Way? And why are you telling us this? Although your name gives me a clue.

Thanks for sharing these videos. I just watched them all back to back. These two guys are my inspiration in the world of film making and comedy. :)

Lenny Henry. It’s the answer everyone’s thinking of for a funny Black English comedian (I don’t think he’s great).

And I love that shot – his head turns so far in the other direction it’s like a non-verbal shunning.

Who is the guy ricky looks at in the beginning? I’m assuming it’s an english comedian?

I remember reading it on Wikipedia, not be the most reliable source, but you may remember a while ago when Ricky was receiving one of his many awards he recorded some sketch-like acceptable speeches with John Cleese, that was apparently while he was filming the episode in LA.

Oh really? That’s interesting, how did you find that out? They aren’t available anywhere are they?

    In response to allyfully’s comment:
There were also two other episodes in the ‘Ricky Gervais Meets…’ series that were filmed, one with Matt Groening and the other with John Cleese, but after the Gary Shandling episode went out Gervais decided not to air them.

If anyone is interested there were three interviews in this series – one with Larry David (Curb Your Enthusiasm, Seinfeld) and another with Garry Shandling (Larry Sanders Show), both on YouTube.
