There are plenty of people who constantly knock American Idol yet without it we probably would have never heard of Kelly Clarkson or Carrie Underwood etc. Or I would not have my channel devoted to a talent that should have won this past year. If you are unfamiliar with Allison check her out. She’s amazing.

Looking back you can see the talent level was on a level with the best in the world- I guess it was hard to belive that that level of talent could come from a singing contest-but obviously it does!

simon wasnt right when he said that kelly was going to become a huge star, becuase kelly is now a worlwide super star and her cds are being selling around the world, and he song MLWSWY is being a success in latin america, this song is being used in every success show in latin america right now.

lmao! actually believe it or not, kelly is actually a soprano singer. she could sing opera if she wanted too. she did this thing where she sung with some orcastra and she sung REALLY high octaves and it was soo pretty!

It’s kinda cool to see how much her look changed throughout the whole thing. She’s an amazing singer. She definitely deserved everything she’s gotten.

Carrie is a GREAT pop country singer, no doubt about it, and obviously has done very well.
What’s different about Kelly, tho, is that she can sing ANY genre (except maybe opera) and sing it well.
Watch some of her other vids here. Check out “Walkin’ After Midnight” or “Why Haven’t I Heard From You”, for examples of her versatility. Plug in her name with Tony Bennett and listen to her sing a couple of American “Standards”. You’ll see/hear her versatility.
