This is completely new for me. Since I am a devout Jay Leno fan, I’m having a hard time believing what you say. But if it’s true, then I guess Jay deserved it.
Also, that would make Jimmy ruthless too. I guess these are the only kind of people who make it in Hollywood.

Read Bill Simmons who took a sabatical from his job at ESPN to write for the Kimmel show when it was first starting up…
Leno had his publicists tell every celebrity that if they went to the Kimmel show before they did the Leno show they would never get a spot on the Leno show. (IE never get to sell their movies / shows).
Leno is ruthless by all accounts and he turned the Tonight show into one big sell-fest.

I don’t understand why everybody is gunning for Jay Leno. He is a stand up guy, happily married, does a lot of charity. His humour is mostly good, not caustic and acerbic,unlike Kimmel’s or Letterman’s. He did not have any sex scandals unlike Letterman.
All in all, a role model celebrity.
I love Jay Leno. I don’t care what you guys think or say.

Do you guys below honestly think that Jay Leno has the power to move Conan? If he had that much power, he would stay where he is, at 9.30. Don’t blame Leno, direct your anger at NBC. Tell them what you think of their decision, which is going to be another disaster. btw Jimmy Kimmel crossed the line, the line btw not funny and really not funny.

I think the split is actually around 35-40 (in respect to liking leno and/or lettermen better than conan). Under that line people seem to relate to conan more, and his humor has had over 13 years to grow on them. The oldies invested their late nights in the older guys. Makes sense why each side is so loyal to either conan or jay. They made time investment in their comedy.

I love watching Leno squirm during this interview! Leno is showing what a snake in the grass he really is…sleazeball. Jay is a bore and has never made me laugh even once. And the “nice guy” routine was all a sham. I will follow Conan wherever he goes…he is the best! I’M WITH COCO!
