Yoyoma102, I agree that when we speak about politics that we should keep it strictly about policy and not resort to personal attacks. However, what I was trying to underscore is that Limbaugh, quite frequently, takes a person’s personal foibles, and tends to besmirch the character of that person and the credibility of their policies as a result of their private shortcomings. All I am underscoring is the blatant hypocrisy of his whole act.

Yoyoma102, I only brought up the CHEAT method by which Limbaugh lost weight to underscore the hypocrisy of the man. He, and other conservative pundits speak all the time about having integrity and working hard, and yet when given the chance, Limbaugh takes the easy and destructive way out in his personal life. Thus he demonstrates that he lacks the very integrity and self-discipline that he claims others are lacking. Thus, he is a hypocrite.

Why is Limbaugh proud of his weight loss? He didnt do it the honest way, which requires self-discipline, and is therefore something to be very proud of. Instead, he used a cheat method, which is not only a shortcut, but also one that might have deleterious long-term health consequences. He used the “Quick Weight Loss Center’s” method, which involves using appetite suppressants and carbohydrate blockers. And here I thought conservatives were all about self-discipline and rugged individualism.
